On our 2nd full day, we went to Animal Kingdom. It's a really fun zoo/theme park. My favorite part was the show Festival of the Lion King. It was really well done and very entertaining.
One part that was also really fun was the Safari. If you go to Africa and take a Safari, you have no guarantee that the animals will be there. At least in Animal Kingdom, you know you're going to see all the animals. Here are some of the awesome animals we saw on the Safari and then in the park. We saw giraffes.
I found the bats to be a bit creepy
We thought the random duck in the middle of the fish pond was funny. We doubt it belonged to the park.
We saw gorillas
And we loved the pretty tigers.
We also went up to the observation area and petting zoo. Here's Amy with a cutout gorilla.
And me with a Rhino.
Here we are petting the sheep. The shaved Mickeys and Minnies into some of their wool.
And here I am petting a reptile.
They had a fun simulation of being alone in the jungle in the middle of a downpour.
And here we are on the Dinosaur ride. The concept is similar to Indiana Jones at Disneyland, but it's not quite as good.
