Shannon Falls

As you drive along the Sea to Sky highway between Vancouver and Whistler BC, a huge waterfall looks like it's going to come down on top of you. This is the view from the minimal hike you have to take to the main viewpoint.

And then it's just gorgeous.

Unfortunately the pictures don't do it justice.

We kept trying to get a shot that captured the fullness of it's size and beauty, but we were unsuccessful.

The views along the highway leading up to Shannon Falls are also really beautiful.

This large, looming rock looks really cool.

And even has an interesting story. The warriors among the native people had to climb to the top of it as quickly as they could in order to train for battle. I don't even know how that's possible since it's so smooth on the surface.

You get to see the broad side of it as you drive away from Shannon Falls Provincial Park.
